Despite the fact I went out last night and only dragged myself into bed at around 3am this morning, I woke up at 8.30am when Kane's alarm went off for work feeling strangely energized and hangover free. I still had yesterday's make up on (oopsie!) and my hair looked fine, so I just chucked on a dress and walked into town with him to go to the car boot. I'm glad I did 'cause I found quite a few bits of loveliness!
I couldn't resist the old pictures in these knitting patterns which cost just 50p, or the blue and gold leaf glasses for 30p, even though my glassware collection is getting slightly out of hand now. I also had to buy the old Mickey Mouse annual for 50p, as well as the 40p lipstick holder and 50p sunglasses, complete in their original case! Not bad for £2.20!
This is my absolute favourite find of the day. By now, you should know my penchant for old books, and I'm so glad I found this to add to the collection. There's no date on it, but it's obviously 1950s. Inside it has pages with one thing to make or do for every day of the year. I read through quite a few of the pages whilst sitting having a coffee, going seeing my poor hungover boyfriend at work. I'm planning on doing a collections post for my vintage books, so you'll get to have a peek inside very soon! It was my bargain of the day at just 50p.
My energy actually soon vanished after this, the hangover kicked in and I walked home in the rain feeling awfully sorry for myself, ready to jump into bed when I got home. Which I did. Where I still am now :) Did you make it to any car boots today? XO.

The lipstick holder is gorgeous! I need to get myself down to my local car boot next week, I haven't been for years but your finds are definitely making me want to go down there! xx
