We picked up these fabrics in the same shop, where we also picked up a 70s lurex maxi, a travel vanity set, two books and a Meakin jug for a total of £8! The top one is my favourite, it's the typical retro style you'd find in my house. I'm not entirely sure whether it's barkcloth or not, it does feel like it! The second one with the pretty flowers on definitely is, but unfortunately it's only a tiny piece! I like the bottom fabric too. I'm not decided on whether to keep some for projects or sell off in my craft bags I sell at fairs which have been quite popular recently, I'm almost all sold out. I'm probably end up doing both anyway.
My obsession for crochet continues. I have a crochet blanket on every chair, the sofa and the bed in my house, as well as the crochet coloured mats you'll find on pretty much every item of furniture I have, as well as the fireplace and kitchen window sill! I bought the massive crochet blanket at a Bolton charity shop a couple weeks ago for £1.99. The second item is slightly crazy. I'm only 21 (22 in October), and I have zero plans for children for at least the next few years. However, I have just purchased a baby crochet cape! I honestly just couldn't resist it. I love crochet, and I love the little white trim, so it'll be kept and put away until later on in life! Plus Kane's face was an absolute picture when I showed it him, which was worth the £3 I paid for it alone.
I know it's not really sandal weather anymore, but I really liked these! They were just £3.29, are a really nice fit, I'm just praying they don't rub my feet to hell the first few times I wear them, otherwise they'll have to be passed on.
Have you found anything great in the charity shops this week? xo.
Wowzers, I want to go to that charity shop! What an amazing bargain, love the fabric, especially the top one...and I'm curious, what pattern is the Meakin jug? Rachel :)
ReplyDeleteOh the fabrics look pretty, especially the first one I must say. Hope you get crafty and decide on some things to make - will be exciting to see definitely.
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI too love crochet and knitted lovelies. That hooded shrug is so sweet. I'm also lucky on top of my thrifty finds and habits to have many friends who like to knit and crochet. My daughters drawers are overflowing with woolie goodies.
Thanks again for popping by my blog and commenting on my style post, I'm so in love with those damn shorts.
Such a pretty blanket!! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteThat second swatch of fabric is GORGEOUS, so it's too bad that it's small!! And those shoes are wonderful; I absolutely love the criss-crossing detail in front (it's much more unique than most normal sandal heels!
