An Autumn/Winter wishlist

socks: Monki, trousers:Topshop, jumper: Topshop, belt: ASOS, nail polish: Models Own, top: Monki, bracelets: both ASOS & tarts: Yankee Candle.

Throughout Autumn and Winter, I find myself looking to the high street a lot more than previous months. Summer dressing is easy; I throw on a pretty vintage dress and a pair of pumps and really, I'm good to go. I struggle a bit more with AW. My style changes slightly and I'm drawn to the more classic, wearable items of clothing. I need to feel comfortable and warm whilst still looking nice, I'm not about to don a hoodie and a pair of uggs and be done with it. It's also a lot more difficult for me to find good quality knits in the charity shops I visit, which all seem to be filled with hideous 80s acrylic granny cardigans.

What I mostly lust after in the Autumn and Winter months are a pair of trousers. I'm 5'2 with a trouser size between 14-16 (hoping to get down to a 12-14) so trousers aren't usually my thing. This year I'm really hoping I can find a pair which won't suffocate my bum and legs, and won't fall 6 inches below my feet either. I love these tartan pair, which I'd team with a simple black jumper and a beehive. As the clothing gets simpler, I'm also on the look out for more accessories and jewellery, mostly in the form of bracelets.

A bit of a side step from clothing, I'm also obsessed with candles in Autumn and making my home cosy and gorgeous smelling. I'm obsessed with the yankee candle tarts as they're so cheap, last for ages and they fill my entire house. What about you, do you have a wishlist for this A/W?

  3. You sew, don't you? Doing a straight and simple pant leg hem is so easy... I'm the same height as you so I understand the height problem but since stores don't cater to our shortie needs it's easiest to make do by learning how to hem pants so you're only worried about the fit :)
