Christmas outfits on a budget with House of Fraser

House of Fraser was a place that until recently, I hadn't spent much time in. I went to the Manchester one on my birthday to visit the Yankee Candle stand up on the fourth floor, and had to walk past all the gorgeous make up counters and pretty clothes units. When I was contacted by them to look at their dresses collection, I couldn't resist. A girl doesn't need any excuse to swoon over dresses, does she? So I'm playing a little dress up and creating Christmas outfits for those of us with a budget. We all have one, although I'm sure most people's will be a bit higher than mine! I thought I'd create three Christmas party outfits; one under £50, one under £100 and one under £150.

dress: £25, 'Closet' via House of Fraser. bag: £4.97, ebay. earrings: £4, accessorize. shoes: £15, Jane Norman via House of Fraser.

I am seriously in love with this dress! Please please please go and look at it on the website and watch the video, as it has the most beautiful, elegant bow on the back. I think it is so sophisticated and a bargain at £25! I also think the platform wedges are a great find at just £15, but I had to look elsewhere to find some accessories! The ebay clutch is off ebay but is a huge bargain, and I think the classic bow earrings round off the outfit nicely. OUTFIT COST: £48.97

dress: £50, Warehouse via House of Fraser. shoes: £24, Madden Girl via House of Fraser. clutch bag: £15, Jane Norman via House of Fraser. lipstick: £5.50, Kate Moss for Rimmel via Superdrug. earrings: £3.99, New Look.

I love the colour of this dress, and I can't resist a peplum either. I've also managed to make this outfit quite patriotic subconsciously! I've added in a lipstick as I really wanted it to match the red shoes, and I think the cream clutch and black earrings add a little variety to the outfit. OUTFIT COST: £98.49

dress: £99, Kaliko via House of Fraser. clutch bag: £22, Warehouse via House of Fraser. shoes: £24, Madden girl via House of Fraser. Earrings: £3.99, New Look.

It was quite strange venturing off into the £75+ dresses, I've never spent that much on an item of clothing! I really liked the simplicity of this dress, as well as the shape and ruching detail. Has anyone noticed a bit of a trend with the items I've picked. I love the bow clutch, but wanted a pair of nude heels so it wasn't all black! I love the dangly earrings too, which I preferred over standard studs. I didn't have any money left to add make up items, but I'd imagine this with a smokey eye and nude lip, what about you? OUTFIT COST: £148.99

What do you think of these, would you wear any of them to a Christmas party? Do you think it's worth spending the extra money or not? I have to say, the under £50 one is my favourite, I think it's just a bit more me! Will you be shopping at House of Fraser for your Christmas party outfits?

As for putting brands names on the bags - I agree. But I kind of get used to it now in case of my RI bag, so it'll be the same with the KK one. :D X
