I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but I've got so many products that the majority end up sitting in my vanity, or bathroom cabinets, unused for months. I also end up getting so comfortable using certain products that others get ignored, so I like to go through everything every couple of months or so and pick out some old favourites I really must start using again.
I really needed a shower pick me up an early morning last week, which is really where all this began. For early mornings when you're still half snoozing whilst attempting to wash your hair, Soap and Glory Sugar Crush is a must for me. It's got such a fruity zingy fragrance it wakes me up so quickly, and it's perfect for the warmer months. I've been reaching for No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser on lazier evenings too. I usually like to double cleanse, but for those evenings when it really is just too much effort this has been my savior. It removes make-up within a minute or so and leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean without too much hassle.
I've had a few hormonal breakouts recently and on my search to find something to calm them down, I remembered La Roche Posay Effaclar Lotion. It exfoliates the skin nicely but also has salicylic acid in too which combines with a couple of other products has really been sorting out my blemishes.
The warmer and brighter weather has had me changing up a few products in my beauty routine too. I've picked a few more radiant and lighter coverage foundations, Rimmel Wake me Up being one of my favourites. This is actually their ivory shade but is far too orange for me, although I heard last week they've introduced a lighter shade so I'll definitely be picking that up next time I'm in Boots. I've been digging out some peachy cream blushes too, and a great high street option is from Look Beauty. It's a pretty pink toned peach that sticks around for ages, so wonderful for the summer months.
I'm pretty sure I haven't touched my MAC Vegas Volt since around last September or so, but it's been making a determined comeback this week. It's such a gorgeous coral orange and by far one of my favourite lipsticks for the warmer months, it really brightens up my complexion. I've dug out one of Lush' solid perfumes too, in 1000 Kisses Deep. This has such a sweet and citrusy scent, and it's perfect for travelling and topping up on the go, so I definitely need to be using this more over the next few months.
